POPULATION PYRAMIDS

USE THE WEBSITE BELOW TO LOOK AT THE CHANGES IN A NATIONS POPULATION PYRAMID.

1) Draw a population pyramid for UGANDA. Select 2004 and small graph size. Copy the pyramid by right clicking on it with your mouse and save it to your desktop.

2) Do the same for the UK. You may like to look at pyramids for other countries too. Try to look at a mixture of MEDCS and LEDCs. Do you notice any pattern?

3) Finally, copy the two population pyramids of UGANDA and the UK from your desktop into your Word document.

4) Describe and explain the differences bewteen the two sets (i.e. MEDCs and LEDCs) of pyramids.

5) Copy the pyramid of China to your document. Can you describe and explain its shape?
